From the following, it is equally evident that Christ is that Saviour, and of course possesses the highest Divine perfections: Now we believe, not because of thy saying; for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. (b) Isa. 40:3. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, [Jehovah,] make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Luke 1:76. And thou, child,-shalt go before the face of the Lord, to prepare his ways. Compare Ps. 68:17, 18, with Eph. 4:7, 8. Jer. 23:6 and 1 Cor. 1:30.-Isa. 42:8. See also Rev. 1:8. LORD, in the Old Testament, when it occurs in small capitals, signifies JEHOVAH. This is God's incommunicable name, and he has declared, (Isa. 48:8,) that he will not give his glory to another. Ps. 83:18. Whose name ALONE IS JEHOVAH.

This passage is applied to Christ, 1 Pet. 2:4-6. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,-Wherefore also it is contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone. These things said Esaias, when he saw his [Christ's] glory, and spake of him. Ps. 24:7-10..
