CONTRIBUTORS TO THIS ISSUE JOSEPH COLLINS, the eminent neurologist, is the author of Diseases of the Brain, The Way with the Nerves, Sleep and the Sleepless, and My Italian Year. His interests and authority far exceed all professional limits, as his contributions to THE NORTH AMERICAN REVIEW have demonstrated. STEPHANE LAUZANNE, former member of the French High Commission to the United States, and the accomplished editor-in-chief of Le Matin, is now a familiar contributor to THE REVIEW. He gives in this number a most dramatic chapter of history, of which he was himself a witness. B. SEEBOHM ROWNTREE, as Director in one of the great British industries, has found leisure to study the conditions from the human as well as the business side in employment problems. He has written a good deal on the subject, as such volumes as The Way to Industrial Peace, The Human Needs of Labor, and The Human Factor in Business testify. HENRY W. BUNN is one of the editors of The Independent and The Weekly Review, and a frequent contributor to other periodicals. ROSCOE C. E. BROWN is Professor in the School of Journalism at Columbia University. For some years he was Managing Editor of The New York Tribune. Mr. Brown was a member of the New York State Civil Service Commission from 1905 to 1911, and has for many years been a recognized exponent of the Merit System. |
