Ir is hoped that the observations contained in the following pages will be found peculiarly adapted to the state of society, at the present day, wherein it must be evident to every ob servant mind, that while there is much, in many points, to rejoice over and to admire,-there is still more to lament and to amend. The way to happiness lies in the endearments of the domestic affections-the earnest cultivation of our religious duties, and as all helps are useful in such a cause, even this little treatise may be the means of di recting the steps of those who are desirous to walk therein. |
