CHRIST'S RESURRECTION. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. -Ps. xvi. 9, 10. He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.-Acts ii. 31, 32. Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.-Is. xxvi. 19. I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh Ishall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another.-Job xix. 25-27. CHRIST BRINGING SALVATION TO THE GENTILES. Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Žebulun, and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, in Galilee of the nations. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.-Is. ix. 1, 2. I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.-Is. xlii. 6,7. I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.-Is. xlix. 6. The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.-Matt. iv. 13 -16.
