Christ and the Spirit: Spirit-Christology in Trinitarian PerspectiveOxford University Press, 6 Oca 1994 - 256 sayfa This is a study of Spirit-Christology--a contemporary theological model of the relationship between Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Del Colle measures this christological model against trinitarian theology and tests its viability. He investigates in particular the development of a Roman Catholic Spirit-Christology, which has arisen from within the modern neo-scholastic theological tradition. Contrary to other interpreters, Del Colle argues that an incarnational christology and a Spirit-Christology are not conflicting but complementary and that this is recognized by the older and deeper tradition. In conclusion, he seeks to demonstrate the productivity of the Spirit-Christological model in reference to three major areas of concern for contemporary systematic theology: cultural pluralism and diversity, emancipation and social praxis, and inter-religious dialogue. |

Sayfa 174 - For where the Church is, there is the Spirit of God; and where the Spirit of God is, there is the Church, and every kind of grace ; but the Spirit is truth.
Sayfa 190 - in diverse manners ' by the patriarchs, heard at all times in the prophets, at last brought down by the Spirit and Power of the Father into the Virgin Mary, was made flesh in her womb, and, being born of her, went forth as Jesus Christ...
Sayfa 88 - But let all agree uncompromisingly on this, if they would not err from truth and from the orthodox teaching of the Church: to reject every kind of mystic union by which the faithful would in any way pass beyond the sphere of creatures and rashly enter the Divine, even to the extent of one single attribute of the eternal Godhead being predicated of them as their own. And besides let all hold this as certain truth, that all these activities are common to the most Blessed Trinity...
Sayfa 62 - This Church, constituted and organized in the world as a society, subsists in the Catholic Church, which is governed by the successor of Peter and by the bishops in union with that successor, although many elements of sanctification and of truth can be found outside of her visible structure.
Sayfa 185 - But the truth is, it is not Jesus as historically known, but Jesus as spiritually arisen within men, who is significant for our time and can help it. Not the historical Jesus, but the spirit which goes forth from Him and in the spirits of men strives for new influence and rule, is that which overcomes the world.
Sayfa 60 - Church, the Father and the Son are one principle of the Holy Spirit, so all three persons are one principle of all external works.
Sayfa 215 - The doctrine of the Trinity is what basically distinguishes the Christian doctrine of God as Christian, and therefore what already distinguishes the Christian concept of revelation as Christian, in contrast to all other possible doctrines of God or concepts of revelation
Sayfa 163 - Spirit, is here and now not far from every one of us; for in him we live and move, in him we have our being, in us, if we consent to know and trust him, he will create the Christlike harvest: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, fidelity, gentleness, and self-control.
Sayfa 134 - from below," rising from the historical man Jesus to the recognition of his divinity, is concerned first of all with Jesus...
Sayfa 10 - The goal of Orthodox spirituality, the blessedness of the Kingdom of Heaven, is not the vision of the essence, but, above all, a participation in the divine life of the Holy Trinity...
