December 1540 (Archiv. Vatic. German. 58. fol. 170 ff.) folgende Stellen über Aless mir mitzutheilen: 1. Un' Alexandro Alessio Scoto, apostata uxorato, uno dei deputati fra Catholici dall' Elettor Brandeburg., ha prostestato voler dar il voto suo in scritto appartato da gli altri. Il che non le sarà comportato, anzi perchè con l'importunità, condradittioni et clamori soi molto interturba et differisce, il Sor Grandvella pensa excluderlo, non come uno de Protestanti, che debba seder fra Catholici, ma come bandito et rebelle del Sermo Rè di Scotia, amico et confederato della Mt Ces, non però credo si excluderà, ma ben se quietarà et raffrenarassi, che con manco clamore contradirà. 2. Di Alexandro Alessio fa (sc. Granvella) ogni instantia, che i presidenti lo excludino da il numero de Catholici, non parendo conveniente, che alle consulte de Catholici, dove si ragionarà del voto monastico et del celibato, vi intervenga uno, che con effetti già habbi dato il voto et uxoratosi, et excusandosi loro, che ciò non spetta ad essi, ma all' Elettore, che l'ha mandato, fa instantia, che almeno lo suspendano per insino si harà risposta dallo Elettore, qual forsi non sa queste sue qualità.
