I would fain hope that their fury was directed against Orange-men, to whofe excellent and loyal character they profelfed to have attached ideas almost as horrible as thofe juftly applicable to their own. But fhall we copy them even in the remotest degree? God forbid! If they have acted the P the perfecutor towards us, let us act the true Proteftant towards them, and plainly evince our honeft and truly Christian proteftation against their perfecuting and intolerant zeal, by treating them with mercy, and, if poffible, fhaming their infernal principles out of countenance !
