A Layman's Look at the Lord

What exactly...is your image of God? Is there a specific way you see Jesus? Have you created a God box? Are your images and ideas formed by teachers...text books ...theologians ...or even the opinions of some misinformed individuals? Theological ambiguity can confuse the simplicity of the good news of Jesus Christ. Theologs, pastors, and teachers all have their rightful and necessary place in God's work. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." The words of Jesus found in Matt. 11:28-30 I live by the words of a former pastor of mine named Max Cadenhead. After every single sermon he preached he said: "You are responsible to God for what you learn. Do not take my word as gospel. Go home and check it out for yourself." I'm 44 years old. I live in mountains of Colorado with my loving wife Gail. I attend Rocky Mountain Calvary Church in Colorado Springs. I am a truck driver by occupation and a writer of words by God.
