The Collect.

ALMIGHTY FATHER, who hast given Thine only Son to die for our sins, and to rise again for our justification; Grant us so to put away the leaven of malice and wickedness, that we may alway serve Thee in pureness of living and truth; through the merits of the same Thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Teacher. What have we been commemorating lately? Scholar. The death and resurrection of our Saviour. T. For whose sins was He given to die?

S. For our sins. "He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." 1 John, ii. 2.

T. Show that His death atoned for past sins from Rom. iii. 25.
