Please save me from Bad A-level reading.
combine the mind-numbing tediousness of Tom Brown and the general shiteness of harry Potter (yes I'm One of the very few people on the planet who doesn't like HP)and you've got yourself a rip-roaring A-level course.
after having to do so much work on the frankly outdated exploits of one young Tom Brown, it's hard to say i enjoyed the book itself.
Tom Brown is hugely unlikeable, as is his Ron Weasly wannabe friend East. the book is merely a series of school house events, which are full of needles waffle (much like this review)
To put it simply. i didn't like it.
